REPLACEMENT TILED ROOF ORANGERY
No orangery should be perceived as a lost cause. The addition of a Tiled Roof proves that even ageing living space can be reinvented.
This orangery was largely left unoccupied prior to our arrival as it had ceased to provide sufficient thermal efficiency. Thankfully, the occupiers came across the Tiled Roof and were enticed by the performance it’s renowned for offering and how quickly we could have it installed in place of their existing roof. We pre-manufactured the Tiled Roof off-site in preparation for the installation process and you’ll notice the visible glazed panels. They’re responsible for bringing the sun indoors, though there are spotlights inside to keep the orangery illuminate when the sun sets.
When it came to selecting a colour for the various windows and doors within the orangery design, Golden Oak was the preferred finish for the authentic effect it gives them. It almost makes them look like they’re wood-built. This incorporates those stunning French doors – the entranceway into the garden for when there is a desire to do some gardening or conversing out on the patio.
If we return to the glazed panels, you can see that they integrate superbly well into the roofing system and are making everyone extremely happy. The champagne was cracked open soon after everything we completed and rightly so as what more excuse do you need to celebrate.
