As the kids were getting older, the Cartwrights decided that they needed a separate dining room to create more space to entertain.
Having lived in their home for around 8 years, the Cartwright family already had a reasonably sized kitchen diner but wanted a new bright, airy space to enjoy the garden. They envisaged a room with plenty of windows and lots of glass – creating the feeling that you’re sat in the garden whilst still being inside.
The Cartwrights took the opportunity to visit a Pennine showroom which really inspired them as they found lots of different options they hadn’t considered. Luckily, they were able to see something very similar to the dimensions they were looking for, and that really brought their idea to life.
What really stood out for both Mr & Mrs Cartwright was Pennine’s attention to detail which really gave them confidence the team knew what they were doing. They focused on all the little details that the family hadn’t considered and advised them on all the options to achieve a finish that was right for them.
Despite incorporating so much glass, the family are delighted that the room holds its heat really well – they have no concerns about the space being too cold in winter. Having the bi-folds really opens out the space into the garden and they can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning looking out into the sunshine.
