Find Out Which Style Of Solid Roof Will Suit Your Extension
When people that own traditionally-built conservatories and orangeries got word of the development of solid roofing systems, it was music to their ears. It meant that they finally had access to a product that would make their extension habitable again throughout the entire year.
If you’ve entered into an old conservatory or orangery at this time of the year, you will know just how stifling hot they can get inside, and their interiors are just as uncomfortable in winter.
The application of a solid roof is the ultimate problem-solver in these circumstances, but which solid roof do you buy to ensure that the new roof complements the extension and your home?
Pennine offers four varieties of solid roof. We’ll talk you through them all to help you decide…
Glass Roof
The total opposite to a bog standard glass roof, our glass roof is intelligent and includes super performance glass that deflects excess warmth away in summer and entices it in during the winter months.
Provided plain or with a slight blue tint, it’s self-cleaning, which means that you don’t have to clamber up to maintain it.
Smart Roof
This energy efficient replacement conservatory roof can be custom-made for all conservatory styles and can be fitted incredibly quickly and easily.
With a covering consisting of either lightweight tiles or lightweight slates, our smart roof can also accommodate roof windows to retain a bright feel inside of the design.
Dynamic Roof
The Dynamic Roof is very different to any other solid roofing system. It’s the first roof of its kind to give you the flexibility of a solid roof together with shaped glass and has a classic grey finish on the outside.
A major plus is that it’s also fully compliant with building regulations, so it regularly receives the approval of local authorities.
Fusion Roof
If you have concerns that switching roofs will lead to loss of natural light in the interior, you should edge towards the Fusion Roof as it has large full length rectangular glazed roof panels.
On the inside of it, you get a beautifully vaulted plastered ceiling, and around the perimeter of it is an internal pelmet into which you can insert spotlights and/or speakers.
